medicine-vector-flat-illustration_1 Where can I get an apostille for a medical certificate?

Why do you need an apostille for medical documents?

Most countries require foreigners to provide a certificate confirming that the person does not have serious illnesses. Often such documents are requested when a citizen arrives for education, work or permanent residence.

You need not only to obtain the original certificates, but also to legalize them. For countries that have signed the Hague Convention, there is a simplified procedure - apostille. An apostille stamp is placed on the medical certificate, after which the certificate has legal force in another state.

Where can I get a certificate?

Medical certificates are issued by public or private clinics. To do this, you need to contact your place of residence or the doctor with whom you signed the declaration. You will be prescribed appropriate examinations that you must undergo with specific doctors.

For other countries, our citizens most often issue certificate 082/o. If you are going to another country for treatment, then check the entire list of certificates and documents with your attending physician and with the receiving party.

In what cases is an apostille required for a medical certificate?

An apostille confirms the authenticity of signatures and seals on a document. Such a document has legal force, so you can provide a certificate with an apostille to any government agency in another country.

Most often, an apostille for a medical certificate is requested from Ukrainians in the following situations:

  • admission to college, higher education institution;
  • official employment;
  • submission of documents for getting a residence permit.

Some countries may accept such certificates without an apostille, but this is most often an exception to the rule. In other countries, apostille is not accepted and you need to go through the consular legalization procedure. By the way, in some cases, a certificate is requested at the stage of obtaining a visa.

An apostille is placed on a certificate only in Ukraine. You cannot get a stamp through the consulate. The apostille is issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. To do this, you need to come to Kyiv and submit a document for apostille. The procedure takes some time, so you will not receive a stamp on the same day. The Ministry sends a request for your certificate to the appropriate institution to verify the authenticity of the signatures and seals.

There is another option that saves your time and money - contact Kyiv Regional Translation Agency. Our managers will go through the entire procedure for you. We work without intermediaries. You do not need to come to Kyiv yourself to submit and receive a certificate, stand in queues, spend money on travel and accommodation in the capital.

In addition, our agency will translate the certificate into the official language of the country where you are going. If necessary, we will provide a notarized translation. All these services can be obtained in one place. We will also issue an apostille for other documents, since most often our clients need legalization of several documents at once: birth certificate, marriage certificate, school certificate, diploma, etc.
